Australian Pro Am

All the action hits the water at Stoney Park this coming weekend.

AUSTRALIA DAY celebrates the registration of our 65th entrant for the 2010 WWA Australian Pro Am. With the weather heating up for the week ahead, so is the line up of the Pro Am, heating up in all of our most popular and competitive divisions. Our youngest competitor is a tiny 4 years of age and we have confirmation that 3 of the Australian Pro Tour’s previous champions will all be on the dock for the kick off of the inaugural Pro Am.

The 2010 Pro Am will deliver a brand new format than any of these riders have competed under before and it is set to test not only their riding talent, but their strength and fitness as an athlete. This new format will create one of the most exciting competition arena’s Australian wakeboarding has ever seen and the crowd will be the ultimate winners being there to witness it all unfold and see some of the most progressive and mind blowing wakeboarding Australia has ever produced.

The FMX team are locked in for two 45 min shows on Sunday starting at 11am and along with all of the excitement of the action on the water, the atmosphere should be electric with live music and DJ sounds filling the park all weekend. There is big cash prizes up for grabs in all of the PRO divisions and the prize pool for all of the remaining divisions is one of the biggest the Australian Industry has ever assembled in the history of the sport here.

All of the action starts at 7.30am sharp on Friday the 29th , with the PRO Men and Women hitting the water for the first time at 10.30am that same day. By 3 pm Sunday we will have crowned champions in 15 divisions and have assembled a pre-qualified team of Aussie Athletes ready to take on the World at the WWA World Titles.

Be sure to get yourself down to Stoney Park to check out all the action on the 29th/30th&31st of January and for more info and a detailed event schedule, go to www.wwaa.com.au.
